The consortium of the EU-funded project TRAIN-NET has launched a new initiative to help support candidate country life sciences researchers in the Sixth Framework programme for research (FP6). The initiative aims to gather information on the experiences of candidate country researchers participating in the Fifth Framework programme for research (FP5). The data gathered will be used to help shape supportive measures for life sciences in FP6. Experiences of FP5 and expectations from FP6 will be gathered using an online questionnaire. TRAIN_NET is an EU-funded project targeted on the exchange of experience and expertise among National Contact Points in the field of life sciences, with particular focus on candidate countries. Coordinated by the Austrian BIT-Bureau for international research and technology cooperation, the TRAIN-NET consortium comprises 21 partners from 20 countries. The questionnaire is available at the following web address: http://www.bit.ac.at/trainnet/platform.htm
