In 2011, t... The European Commission has published its 'Space call 6' call for proposals. The document is part of the latest set of calls published under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). In 2011, the European Commission adopted a Communication on the EU's space strategy. The document highlights the priorities for the sector, which include the safeguarding of European access to space, the contribution of space to global and societal challenges, security issues, exploration, science, space as a driver for innovation and competitiveness, and EU participation in international projects. Applicants to the Space call 6, which has an indicative budget of EUR 126 million, are expected to contribute to these objectives.
