Towards an intelligent transport system
The First World Congress on Applications of Transport Telematics and Intelligent Vehicle-Highway Systems took place from 30 November to 3 December 1994 in Paris. The event was co-sponsored by the European Commission, ERTICO (Europe), IVHS America (North America) and VERTAS (Pacific Rim). The Advanced Transport Telematics programme (DRIVE II) of the European Commission sponsored a major part of the technical sessions of the Congress, which presented the results of 65 projects.
