Final Workshop of the EU-Japan Laboratory for micro and nanosystems

On 29 September, 2015 at CNRS in Paris, the EUJO-LIMMS project will introduce all results from its extensive structuring effort of the first European Union Laboratory in Japan in the field of micro and nanosystems. Un proyecto europeo resuelve el misterio de la red de difusión de contenidos de Netflix
Sin lugar a dudas, Netflix es el rey de los proveedores de vídeo por Internet, pero en realidad nunca ha tenido que construir sus propios centros de procesamiento de datos. Por ello, es natural que ingenieros de todo el mundo se pregunten cómo consigue soportar tal volumen de tráfico y evitar que los vídeos «se cuelguen» durante su reproducción. El equipo del proyecto ENDEAVOUR ha satisfecho su curiosidad al desentrañar cómo funcionan sus servidores y desde dónde.

EU project solves the mystery of Netflix’s content delivery network
Netflix is the undisputed champion of Internet video providers but has never actually had to build its own datacentres. So it hardly comes as a surprise to see engineers across the world craving to find out how the company can withstand such traffic whilst avoiding video stalling during playback. The ENDEAVOUR project team has made this dream come true by finding out how these servers work - and from where.

Non sorprende quindi che ingegneri di tutto il mondo desiderano scoprire in che modo l’azienda riesca a sostenere un traffico di queste dimensioni, garantendo allo stesso tempo che il video non si blocchi durante la riproduzione. Il team del progetto ENDEAVOUR ha fatto diventare realtà questo sogno scoprendo in che modo, e da dove, funzionano questi server.

Real-time Indoor Air Quality Measurement: Five Demoboards and Development Kits developed by the IAQSense project
