Nuevos anticuerpos podrían facilitar tratamientos contra el dengue y el Zika
Más allá de que ambos son virus de ARN transmitidos por mosquitos, el dengue y el Zika comparten otras características: los dos pertenecen al género de los flavivirus y poseen proteínas de envoltura similares. Gracias a una investigación europea conjunta y cofinanciada por el proyecto DENFREE, ahora resulta posible tratar estos dos virus con los mismos anticuerpos.

Newly found antibodies could lead to treatment against both dengue and Zika viruses
Other than both being RNA viruses transmitted by mosquitoes, the dengue and Zika viruses have a few things in common: they both belong to the Flavivirus genus and share similar envelope proteins. Thanks to joint European research, partially funded under the DENFREE project, they can now also be treated with the same antibodies.

Les virus de la dengue et Zika, virus à ARN transmis par les moustiques, présentent quelques points communs: ils appartiennent au genre flavivirus et partagent des protéines d'enveloppe similaires. Grâce à la recherche européenne conjointe, en partie financée par le projet DENFREE, ils peuvent désormais être traités avec les mêmes anticorps.

Nowo odkryte przeciwciała mogą posłużyć za podstawę terapii przeciw wirusom denga i Zika
Poza tym, że obydwa są wirusami RNA przenoszonymi przez komary, wirusy denga i Zika mają kilka innych cech wspólnych: obydwa należą do flawiwirusów i mają podobne białka otoczkowe. Dzięki wspólnemu, europejskiemu przedsięwzięciu badawczemu, finansowanemu częściowo z projektu DENFREE, mogą być teraz leczone za pomocą tych samych przeciwciał.

Oltre ad essere entrambi virus RNA trasmessi dalle zanzare, i virus dengue e Zika hanno alcune cose in comune: appartengono al genere Flavivirus e condividono proteine involucro simili. Grazie alla ricerca europea congiunta, parzialmente finanziata nell’ambito del progetto DENFREE, le malattie causate dai due virus possono ora essere trattate con gli stessi anticorpi.
