BONUS and BONUS-generated knowledge have had a positive and substantial impact on scientific excellence and policy-making in the Baltic
A study of the BONUS impact on scientific excellence and dissemination shows that BONUS-funded Baltic Sea core papers on average had higher citation rates and were published in journals with higher Journal Impact Factors (JIFs) than non-BONUS-funded Baltic Sea core papers. The study examined Web of Science (WoS) data from the period of 2009-2015.
