In addition to the OPETs, the FEMOPETs and the OPET-CU, the OPET Network includes a number of Sectoral Technical Experts, specialising in one or more technological areas. They act as advisors who provide "added value" to the activities of the OPETs and now also to the FEMOPETs. Their services include :

• market intelligence;
• information;
• state-of-the-art technology profiles, and;
• an in-depth knowledge of the sector(s) for which they are responsible, with a EU perspective.

This section also provides a link to a selection of documents produced by the Sectoral Technical Experts (STE) for individual OPETs or FEMOPETs but which may be useful to the Network as a whole. They are available to OPETs and FEMOPETs, and can be downloaded in Word format only. More will be added in due course.

Sectoral Experts work closely with the staff of the OPET-CU and officials in the Commission to help ensure that the Network as a whole is kept abreast of the latest technological or market sector developments.
