Grant to map the biomedical research projects funded by major funding organisations around the World

A contribution will be made to ensure the upgrade and maintenance of the unique, web-based information sharing platform mapping biomedical research funded projects that was created by major funding organisations around the World, the World RePORT. The objectives of this platform are to facilitate communication and coordination between funders, to provide more transparency and openness on funding flows and to allow increased cost-effectiveness of funding. Created as a pilot project in 2011 by the Heads of International Research Organizations (HIRO), including the EU, it is hosted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the United States, and maintained and upgraded by the NETE Solutions Corporation, the NIH IT subcontractor.
