Methods and Technologies for the Product Manufacturing programme (TIP) The programme aims towards development and implementation of generic knowledge, methods, techniques and technologies for the Swedish manufacturing industry. Expected effects:- More efficient manufacturing processes are developed- Results and knowledge from the projects are implemented and gives measurable effects- An increased participation in international R&D programs that can lead to unique technologies, processes and services. Average approx. annual budget: 1.4 M EUR.The programme aims towards development and implementation of generic knowledge, methods, techniques and technologies for the Swedish manufacturing industry. The goal is to: - Stimulate new networks between companies, universities and industrial research institutes - Reach a high level of company participation in the projects, including SMEs that previously has had little or no contact with academia and industrial research institutes - Support interdisciplinary research - Stimulate R&D that can lead to unique technologies, processes and services.The programme consists of the following four research areas:- Manufacturing technologies- Technical IT-systems- Modelling and simulation- Functional and network-based enterprises.The programme supports applied research performed in cooperation between universities and/or industrial research institutes together with one or more companies.
