DPI is one of the leading technological institutes (technologische top instituten): public private partnership (industries and knowledge institutes), virtual institute, funding: 50% Ministry of Economic Affairs, 25% industry, 25% universities. Total budget in 2001 11 Million EUR

No subdivisions. The credit scheme is generic. Nanotechnology projects, materials projects as well as projects on production processes can be financed.

Implementation

Participating industries: Philips, AKZO Nobel, Dow Chemical, DSM, General Electric Plastics, Montell (now Basell), Oce, Shell and TNO.
