Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Materials Programme

 
The Materials Programme's remit includes nearly all structural and functional materials; from ceramic and inorganic materials, metals, composites and polymers, to electronic and photonic materials. The materials programme also covers the full spectrum of materials research from the theory and creation of new materials, through to the development and awareness of both new and existing materials, to their processing and use.
To support high quality research in materials science and technology;
To underpin the exploitation of materials for the benefit of the UK;
To contribute to the materials postgraduate needs of industry and academia
