Objective
Low-temperature Anammox for nitrogen removal(LTANITRO) provides an interesting business proposition for the treatment of waste water. Key to the innovative microbiological process is that anammox bacteria ‘shortcut’ the conventional nitrogen removal of treatment plants. LTANITRO can turn a treatment plant from an energy user, into a energy producer; operational expenditure is changed into positive revenue by biogas production. This greatly enhances the potential for market introduction.
In this project, a business case will be built for LTANITRO. The USPs will be demonstrated in an objective, science-based, comparison with other options for nitrogen removal. Market analysis will include the new attractiveness through changing the energy balance. Documentation will be prepared that will be discussed with industry (technology providers), and end users. Following these discussions, a definite commercialization strategy will be defined.
