International Air Transport and Operations Symposium 2012

Objective

" As we enter the second decade of aviation, and with the EU Emission Trading Scheme about to enter into force, ATOS 2012 will explore how to achieve sustainable progress for the industry. The conference will address ways to identify, formalize, quantify, optimize and deliver sustained value for air transport in the current environment. The conference will help to move towards a new Value Operations Methodology that raises the profile of operations research and vehicle research that incorporates not only cost but also environment, safety and capacity in the equation.
 Through a number of lectures new ideas will be tabled for 4 major topics that will be addressed: Airlines, airports and ATM; Air transport integration, environmental impact and technological innovation; Engineering value analysis, cost modelling and business innovation; service support and life cycle analysis.
 Special emphasis will be placed on the experience gained in EU funded RTD projects, including SESAR and Clean Sky. The conference will also highlight the new SRIA published by ACARE"
