Objective
The ResEnergy: Researchers With Energy proposal consists in different activities. The first activity consists of ten main Events on the 28th September 2012, which will gather more than 20000 people, organised by eight public entities and two associations around Spain. A second activity consists on a Drawing Competition, which will be performed before and after the 28th event. During to the event celebration. A Scientific Gymkhana will be offered to the students around the location. Also special emphasis will be done on the 2.0 tools which together with the Scientific Gymkhana and the Drawing Contest, will be used to disseminate 28th Event Activities. European Corner will be built in order to let the society know that Europe cares for Researchers.
Being 2012 the International Year Sustainable Energy For All as well as Cooperatives, we will focus the project on letting the general public that cooperation between different researchers within different fields is increasing synergies and helping to each other. The role of the project will go around showing that the energy of researchers cooperating to each other is helping in the field of Sustainable Energy for all. In Spain it has been declared 2012 as the Year of Neuroscience, so some of the activities in during the event will be focused on this subject.
The Events will be implemented using different activities which will take place before and after the 28th September. The activities to be performed are the following:
1. Scientific Gymkhana: This activity will be based on different experiments and workshops which will be prepared by different researchers.
2. Drawing Competition: Based on previous experiences of the Researchers’ Night edition, a drawing competition will be held. The analysis of the drawings, will be used to tackle the existing stereotypes about researchers.
3.Scientific Fair: during the whole Event hands on experiments, workshops, demos, exhibitions, and competitions will be shown.
