Objective
In conformity with the aim of the related ERC project the ERC research group together with MediMass Ltd. have developed both technology and toolkit, to enable the in-vivo in situ differentiation of tissue types. By providing hereto-unavailable information to surgeons about the tissue they are cutting, the product enables better decision-making resulting in more precise operations, higher survival rates, fewer relapses and considerably less extra interventions required.
MediMass Ltd – a technology spin off created by the ERC Starting Grant holder to execute the Intelligent Surgical Device (ISD) project – under the current programme proposes to evaluate the business opportunity generated by the joint project with the ERC group, and using that information build a sound business case for potential investors and partners.
Based on the research funded by the FP7 ERC Starting Grant and the technology development by MediMass Ltd. we wish to evaluate the market possibility for a proposed application.
