Israel Researchers' Night 2012

Objective

"Over 6 years of experience with Researchers' Night project and many more of engaging youngsters to science and scientists thought us that the more personal we make the event the more effective it will be on the long terms. In Researchers' Night 2012 we will try to make it moving, touching and unique by all means.
Scientists will wear special shirts or badges to be easily identified and will call the public to talk, ask, interview, discuss issues with them. Some of them will be involved in scientific ""missions"" with the public to increase communication and cooperation. Many other interactive activities will take place involving scientists and the public alike to achieve the important targets of the Researchers' Night project.

This year, the IRN2012 partners - a network of universities, colleges, science museums and science parks, many of whom worked together on Researchers' Night in previous years, will cover Israel from north to south and from west to east, with many opportunities for the public to connect with the researchers in their own locations. The event will comprise face-to-face meetings with scientists, science cafes and small group discussions with scientists about their scientific activities and lives. Given the extended countrywide activities, we anticipate a greater number of participants.
