InnoEnergy Pathways

Objective

INNOENERGY PATHWAYS is addressed to experienced researchers and offers them the possibility of contributing to the development of the full range of projects within the KIC InnoEnergy.
KIC InnoEnergy is one of the three Knowledge and Innovation communities selected by the European Institute of Technology. It is an innovation driven community gathering key actors of knowledge triangle: research organisations, Higher Education institutions and industrials. Candidates will be selected through an open call, generating a continuous flow of researchers.
Researchers fulfilling the eligibility requirements will have access to the subjects being developed within the KIC, as well as the partners involved. Thus, fellows will be able to propose a project within the available fields. If selected, they will join a world class scientific community, developing the disruptive innovations of tomorrow. Each fellowship will be awarded for 2 years, and fellows will be integrated at the InnoEnergy partners.
The novelty and added value of our proposal lies in three aspects:
- It is addressed to sciences and engineering as well as management researchers on energy issues.
- The individual fellow’s project includes a 6-month “disruptive period”, during which the fellows will be dedicated to either to innovation activities (“hard science researchers”) or to one fully applied innovation activities (“soft science researchers”).
- The fellows will also participate to a KIC InnoEnergy summer school, mixing techno and social sciences perspectives on research and innovation projects.

Thus the programme will allow researchers to acquire new skills, leading to a multi-competence profile, attractive for employers. The involvement of industrial partners will lead to career opportunities, together with the new ventures and start-ups generated by innovation projects. The ambition the programme is to offer a life-long training opportunity to researchers willing to open up their career to innovation

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
