Cel The objective of CASCADE -FELLOWS (CF) is to stimulate and promote thecareer development of experienced researchers who show great promise tobecome future leaders in the f ield of endocrine disruptors, nuclear receptorbiology and health risk assessment. The program will be built on an ongoinghighly successful trans -national fellowship and training programme, organised bythe CASCADE Network of Excellence.CF takes this f'ship program to new levels by: 1) opening the program toapplicants from all over the world, thus adding a significant internat.dimension to the trans -national mobility of fellows; 2) including new partnerorganisations who will host the fellows within the EU member states, assoc.and 3rd countries, thus extending the trans-national mobility of fellowsto and from a wider geographical area; 3) adding a transnat. inter-sectorialexchange dimension between academia and SMEs to enable academic researchfellows try SME working environment without a gap in their academic careers; 4)providing a new incoming mobility component to enable top-class 3rd countryfellows to be hosted in Europe to both enhance competition and to establishmutually-beneficial research cooperation; 5) providing a reintegration componentto counter the brain drain of European researchers to third countries. The focalpoint of the program is the career development of the individual fellows.Theprogramme is characterised by transparency and openness, granting the fellowfreedom to choose the research project, host organisation and host supervisor.Guided by a personal career development plan, a one -to-one mentoringprogramme and reintegration opportunities. CF provides acomprehensive program of support for the fellow to embark on a long -termscientific career responsive to changing market needs.
