PISCOPIA Programme

Objective

The “PISCOPIA Programme” is a new programme promoted by the University of Padova and aims at increasing the European-wide mobility possibilities for multisectoral training and career development of experienced researchers, in line with the objectives set out in the “Life-long training and career development” of the People work program.
Increasing the amount of incoming young researchers in the University of Padova will provide benefits to the whole Italian and European Research Areas by opening a large and high quality area to trans-national research mobility. The programme will further help to reintegrate researchers into a research career in the Member States and Associated Countries.
The programme will last 60 months and provides for 3 calls, awarding fellowships lasting from 12 to 24 months and included into 2 mobility schemes:
- 2 incoming calls: applicants from any country inside or outside Europe (35 fellow-years).
- 1 re-integration call: applicants from Member State or Associated Countries interested in returning to Europe after a mobility experience in a Third Country (10 fellow-years).
All the disciplines present at the University will be open for fellowships. Three Scientific macro areas group the disciplines studied at UNIPD and cover the entire spectrum of science and scholarship: Physical Sciences and Engineering, Life Sciences, Social sciences and Humanities.
In compliance with the European Charter of Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, the University of Padova will ensure that the fellows will be selected following an open, transparent, impartial and equitable selection process and will enter a research contract with the selected fellows which has all the features of an employment contract.
