Objective
With this proposal The Swedish Research Council (SRC) applies for support for finding novel and complementary forms to support and promote mobility among the best young researchers who also have the ambition and potential to become future research leaders. This will be accomplished by a new funding scheme for early career fellowships, called INCA (International Career Grant). The SRC will take an actively supporting role both before and during the grant period, including training and networking activities.
The new program will contribute to strengthening the European research area by combining incoming, outgoing as well as reintegration transnational mobility. The programme will support the researchers financially, but also by maintaining high social security standards in combination with mobility as well as by contributing to the career development and by supporting leadership training and other complementary skills. Central aspects of the programme will be providing equal opportunities for men and women, with or without a family, and guaranteeing social security for all grantees.
The programme will be open to young researchers from all nationalities as well as from all research areas. Grants will be awarded for 36-48 months, where typically 50% or more will constitute transnational mobility.
