IMPROVEMENT OF PRETREATMENTS AND TECHNOLOGY OF ENZYMIC HYDROLYSIS OF CELLULOSE WITH INDUSTRIAL AND AGRICULTURAL REFUSE, AND COMPARATIVE TESTING WITH ACID HYDROLYSIS.(SUPP. AGRE CONTRACT 096)

Objectif



THIS PROJECT AIMS TO OPTIMISE PRETREATMENTS, IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE HYDROLYSIS RATIOS,MEANWHILE CONNECTING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF CELLULOSIC SUBSTRATES WITH THE ENZYMIC COMPLEX.
AS TO THE SUBSTRATE, WE WILL PARTICULARLY INVESTIGATE THE ACCESSIBILITY, ITS STRUCTURE AND ITS CHEMICAL COMPOSITION.
REGARDING THE ENZYME, WE WILL RENDER THE PROPORTIONS OF THE ENZYMIC COMPLEX'S VARIOUS CONSTITUENTSS OPTIMAL.
PRETREATMENTS WILL BE ADAPTED ACCORDING TO THE TYPE OF WASTE (INDUSTRIAL WASTE, AGRICULTURAL WASTE, FRUIT PULP, DRAFF, RECOVERED PAPER AND FOREST WASTE (SAWDUST).
THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF THE ENZYMIC HYDROLYSIS WILL BE COMPARED WITH THOSE OF ACID HYDROLYSIS. A VALORISATION OF THE LIGNIN, RESIDUE OF HYDROLYSIS, SHOULD BE TAKEN UNDER CONSIDERATION.
