Objetivo THE MESOPHILIC DIGESTION OF ANIMAL MANURES IS A RELATIVELY WELL-KNOWN PROCESS. SUCH A DIGESTION IS UTILIZED IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES OF THE THRIRD WORLD. THE SMALL PLANTS BUILT IN THESE COUNTRIES ARE OPERATED MAINLY IN A DISCONTINUOUS MANNER BECAUSE OF VARIOUS PERTURBATIONS (BAD PH CONTROL, PENETRATION OF OXYGEN, CONTAMINATIONS,...). THE THERMOPHILIC DIGESTION IS NOT WIDESPREAD ALTHOUGH IN CAN RESULT IN A MORE RAPID TRANSFORMATION OF AGRICULTURAL WASTES. THE PROPOSED RESEARCH IS ORIGIENTED TOWARDS THE SET-UP OF A STANDARD METHOD OWING A RAPID CONTROL AND CORRECTION OF THE MAIN PARAMETERS OF A CONTINUOUS ANAEROBIC AND THERMOPHILIC FERMENTATION; SUCH A DIGESTION PROCESS COULT BE OPERATED ON A RURAL ENVIRONMENT, ENSURING: - A GOOD CONTINUOUS BIOGAS PRODUCTION - A SHORTER RETENTION TIME OF ORGANIC MATTER - A SCALE-DOWN OF THE DIGESTER ABLE TO TRANSFORM A GIVEN BULK OF WASTES AND SO, A CORRESPONDING INVESTMENT REDUCTION. - A LOWERED PRICE OF THE OBTAINED BIOGAS WHEN COMPARED TO THE ACTUAL ONE.
