Cel BASED ON THE RESULTS OF PHASE A ON MATERIAL SOURCE-TERM EXPERIENCES AVAILABLE SO FAR IN THE COUNTRIES OF THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE ACTION, I.E. FRG, UK, SPAIN AND ITALY, AS WELL AS ON CALCULATIONS PERFORMED BY THE BORSSELE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, ECN CARRIES OUT SCOPING CALCULATIONS FOR ONE OF THE TESTS OF THE PHEBUS - F.P. TEST MATRIX USING THE SOURCE TERM CODE PACKAGE OR THE RELAP/SCDAP CODE. AS THERE ARE ALREADY SOME CALCULATIONS PERFORMED ON THE BORSSELE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, ACCOUNT WILL BE TAKEN OF INDICATIONS COMING FROM THESE CALCULATIONS DURING THE EXECUTIONS OF THE PHASE B WORK. THE CALCULATIONS ON PHASE B WILL BE PERFORMED USING THE SOURCE TERM CODE PACKAGE OR, IF POSSIBLE, THE CODES RELAP/SCDAP. ONE ACCIDENT SEQUENCE WILL BE SIMULATED ON THE PRELIMINARY EXPERIMENTAL LOOP OF PHEBUS F.P. THE CHOICE OF SUCH SEQUENCE AND OF THE INPUT DATA WILL BE MADE IN AGREEMENT WITH THE OTHER EUROPEAN PARTNERS AND THE JRC ISPRA SO TO ESTABLISH A TEST MATRIX TO BE ANALYSED WITH SPECIFIED SET OF CODES BY THE VARIOUS ANALYTICAL TEAMS INVOLVED IN THIS EXERCISE.
