REVIEW OF CONSTITUTIVE MODELS FOR CONCRETE.

Ziel

REVIEW OF CONSTITUTIVE MODELS REFLECTING THE RESPONSE OF CONCRETE DUE TO THE GENERAL THREE DIMENSIONAL LOADINGS AND SUITABLE FOR CONTAINMENT APPLICATION. THESE MODELS WILL BE COMPARED WITH REGARD TO THE PHENOMENA COVERED, WHICH ARE RELEVANT FOR LOADING CONDITIONS IN CONTAINMENTS SUCH AS:

- STRAIN HARDENING AND SOFTENING
- COUPLING EFFECTS, LIKE DILATATION, BETWEEN HYDROSTATIC AND DEVIATORIC RESPONSE
- ELASTIC PLASTIC COUPLING
- BEHAVIOUR IN LOADING AND UNLOADING
- INFLUENCE OF STRESS INVARIANTS
- CRACKING PHENOMENA.

THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT PROPOSED IS TO PRESENT A REVIEW OF THE POTENTIALS AS WELL AS OF THE FUNDAMENTAL SHORTCOMINGS OF CONSTITUTIVE MODELS AVAILABLE TODAY. AS A RESULT, THIS REVIEW REPORT WILL FACILITATE A SUITABLE CHOICE OF CONSTITUTIVE MODELS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT LOAD CASES RELEVANT TO CONTAINMENTS.
MOREOVER, THE REVIEW REPORT WILL PROVIDE A BACKGROUND FOR IDENTIFICATION OF RELEVANT RESEARCH TO BE CARRIED OUT IN THE FUTURE.
