Project description
SME Access to Finance and legal advice
OPENAXEL brings together three of the accelerators with greater impact at Global Level (WAYRA by Telefonica, AppCampus by Nokia & Microsoft, and ACCELERACE, the leading accelerator in Scandinavia connected to Baltic countries) in a common objective of opening the accelerators ecosystem by fostering smart cooperation between key stakeholders. It will generate scale effects at European Level to deliver world class services to highly innovative SMEs, startups & entrepreneurs.
A systemic cooperation will finally happen by the coordinated involvement of core acceleration ecosystem players (Startups, venturing, angels, mentors, global influencers & service providers) and the ICT industry represented in the project by DIGITAL EUROPE. All those stakeholders will kick start the Open Acceleration Community, a co-acceleration framework, supported by powerful on-line social tools provided by ECONET for startups:· Virtual one-stop-shop [OPENAXEL Portal]· Platform-based cross border services [OPENAXEL Services]· Contest Cup to select the Top60 Startups in Europe which will receive extra support to guaranty their final introduction into the market by means of world class coaching, cross-border exchange & global funding exposure [OPENAXEL Contest]
The geo coverage is guaranteed through the project partners' networks which have Accelerators Facilities in all the European States. Special attention will be devoted to less innovative ecosystems like Central Eastern Europe by reinforcing their presence with the inclusion of an accelerator from Poland [FBOX] and an ICT Association from Hungary [IVSZ]. Meanwhile international connections are also reinforced to attract foreign investment through international projection towards USA assured by OPINNO presence in San Francisco; and LATAM through WAYRA's network. The project will create a repository map of business acceleration offers within Europe.
