Objective APPLICATION OF AN ORIGINAL METHOD OF QUICK AND PRECISE MEASURE OF DENSITY TO THE AUTOMATIC UNITARY SORTING OF METALLIC SCRAPS (EXAMPLE OF TUNGSTEN CARBIDES). THIS RESEARCH WILL CONSIST IN THE TRANSPOSITION OF THESE DATA TO THE ELABORATION OF AN ORIGINAL TECHNIQUE OF UNITARY AUTOMATIC SORTING APPLICABLE TO THE METALLIC SCRAPS. IT WILL INCLUDE THE REALIZATION, IMPROVMENT AND EXPERIMENTATION OF A PROTOTYPE ABLE TO TREAT NEAR 1.500 PIECES WEIGHING BETWEEN 5 AND 80 G, PER HOUR. THE ELEMENTS COMPOSING THE APPARATUS WILL BE: - AN UNITARY FEEDING UNIT - A TRANSFERUNIT - AN AIR-WEIGHING UNIT (ELECTRONIC BALANCE AND MECHANICAL SUPPLIES) - A COMPUTING UNIT ABLE TO TREAT THE DATA AND COMMAND THE SORTING PROCESS, - A MECHANICAL SORTING UNIT SELECTING THE PIECES BY THEIR SPECIFIC DENSITY. AN APPLICATION OF THE TECHNIQUE WILL BE STUDIED FOR THE SORTING OF RECOVERED TUNGSTEN AND DIFFERENT METALS CARBIDES PIECES TO IMPROVE THEIR RECYCLING. ITS PERFORMANCES WILL BE EVALUATED.
