Objective TO CONTRIBUTE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF THE SEPARATION OF HIGHLY-RESISTANT DUST IN ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR APPLICATION. HIGH VOLTAGE PULSES ARE USED IN ORDER TO HAVE A HIGH LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE FOR THE ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATORS; THESE PULSES CAN BE VARIED IN LEVEL AND DURATION. LARGE ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATORS ESTABLISH THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PULSE GENERATORS AND THEIR REACTIONS TO VARIOUS DUST GRANULOMETRIES. THE EXPERIMENTAL DEVICE CONSIST OF A THREE- PHASE HIGH TENSION GENERATOR, A PULSATOR, A HIGH CAPACITY CONDENSER ON THE PULSATOR SIDE AND A HIGH CAPACITY CHOKE ON THE BASIC VOLTAGE SIDE. COMPARATIVE MEASUREMENTS ARE MADE IN A FOUR-CHAMBER ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR CHARGED WITH AN ELECTRICAL FIELD WHICH IS EQUIPPED WITH A PULSE GENERATOR.
