Objective THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT IS TO DEVELOP A NEW FOREHEARTH, IN WHICH: 1.- A FIRST SECTION OF ADJUSTEMENT AND REGULATION OF TEMPERATURE IS SEPARATED FROM A SECOND SECTION OF HOMOGENIZATION; 2.- SIMULTANEOUS HEATING AND COOLING OF THE FOREHEARTH IS AVOIDED; 3.- ANY THERMIC LOSS IS ELIMINATED IN THE HOMOGENIZING SECTION. THE FOREHEARTH REALIZE SIMULTANEOUSLY THREE DIFFERENT TASKS: 1.- THE TRANSPORT OF THE MELTED GLASS FROM THE FURNACE TO THE FEEDER OF THE GLASS CONTAINER MACHINE; 2.- THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE TEMPERATURE BY COOLING THE GLASS TO THE RIGHT VALUE AND THE HOLDING OF THAT TEMPERATURE AT A CONSTANT VALUE; 3.- THE HOMOGENIZATION OF THE GLASS IN ORDER TO FEED THE FEEDER WITH A GLASS OF UNIFORM TEMPERATURE AND VISCOSITY. IN CONVENTIONAL FIREHEARTHS, THE FLOWING GLASS COOLS DOWN AT THE PERIPHERY WHILE THE CENTRAL CORE REMAINS HOT AND FLOWS THE FASTER AS IT IS LESS VISCOUS. TO REDUCE THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCES, THE COOLER ZONES ARE HEATED UP WITH BURNERS WHILE THE CENTRAL CORE IS SIMULTANEOUSLY COOLED DOWN. THUS THE FOREHEARTH IS HEATED UP AND COOLED DOWN AT THE SAME TIME ON ALL ITS LENGTH WHICH INVOLVES AN OBVIOUS OVERCONSUMPTION OF ENERGY. THE TASKS OF TRANSPORT, OF REGULATION AND OF HOMOGENIZATION ARE ACHIEVED SIMULTANEOUSLY. WE ARE PROPOSING TO DEVELOP A NEW FOREHEARTH IN WHICH 1.- A FIRST SECTION OF ADJUSTMENT AND REGULATION OF TEMPERATURE IS SEPARATED FROM THE SECOND SECTION OF HOMOGENIZATION; 2.- SIMULTANEOUS HEATING AND COOLING OF THE FOREHEARTH IS AVOIDED OWING TO THE RATIONAL CONTROL OF HEAT TRANSMISSION; 3.- IN THE HOMOGENIZING SECTION, THE GLASS COMING OUT WILL BE SURROUNDED BY THE GLASS COMING IN, IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE ANY THERMIC LOSS AND TO SUPPRESS TEMPERATURE GRADIENTS.
