Objetivo In order to quality the relevant technology, the purpose of the project developed under this contract was to test a complete deep water offshore production system under actual operating conditions that was to be installed on alwyn field, situated in block 3/9 east of the british zone of the north sea.The work performed at alwyn was confined to study of the overall production scheme and the critical elements.The work on the subsea well base, studied under this contract, has been used for the design of the subsea template supporting the remote controlled 6 wellheads installed on the north-east frigg gas-field. This equipment is presently in operation.The refusal by the authorities to allow the associated gas of alwyn field to be burnt obliged the contracting party to delay development of this field, thus interrupting the associated pilot research project at the study stage.An alternative solution to continue the present contract has been sought on the frigg north-east gas field, though resumption of the pilot project on this field was dependent on the agreement of the co-holders of the permit.
