Objective The project aim is to develop tools and equipment necessary to improve performance and make the remote-operated subsea vehicles more competitive. The study enabled all the conditions of submarine remote-control operation to be established and solutions proposed to improve the mechanical tools and automatisation of this activity. The proposed solutions cover critical engineering and technology:- sea handling systems.- autonomy and manipulation.- automatic steering of the vehicle.Profitable applications of this study are in the field of submarine oil production in areas of diverless submarine operations. The project comprises four phases:- phase a: system and equipment design- phase b: developing of specific equipment- phase c: system integration- phase d: sea trial.
