Cel The project aims to demonstrate the construction of a solar air heating system and its functioning in a single-family house in the Ardenne, Belgium. The system is fonctioning at low temperature. Beside the solar system the thermal insulation of the building is an important feature of the project. The air ducts of the air heating system have to be air tight in order to minimize thermal losses, a fact which is difficult to achieve in reality. Scientific results on the monitoring campaign will be presented in the final report. The air collectors are installed on the south facing roof of the house. The flat plate collector has an aluminium absorber and is a prototype. The air is used directly as soon as the temperature in the collector is higher than the set living room temperature. If no heating demand exists the hot air is conduced into a heat storage. If the collectors and the heat storage can not produce energy on a sufficiently high temperature an electrically driven heat pump, air-air, is used for the space heating. It is possible to use a woodstove and an electrical resistance heater if auxiliary heating is still needed. A wind mill is added to the system.
