Obiettivo Aims of project: Prevention of work accidents and musculoskeletal disorders connected with manual handling operations, by: the development of handling aids. modification of equipment so as to reduce postural stress. development of a training module relevant to the particular stresses involved in the operations studied. The methods are aimed at: evaluating the incidence of musculoskeletal disorders and accidents connected with the specific working conditions; quantifying the biomechanical stress and comparing results with the admissible values; identifying with precision the factors responsible for the mechanical stresses on the back and arms; developing solutions which would help to reduce or eliminate the stresses without hindering performance.
