Ergonomic analysis of work situations with major vibrational and postural stress and a study of the ways in which the lumbar region of workers adapts to this stress

Objective

Aims of project:

A survey carried out by the firm's occupational medicine department revealed that a risk of lumbar problems exists in four sectors. Numerous work situations in those sectors involve postural and vibrational stress. The aim of the study is to quantify the various types of stress, examine their causes and their effects on the vertebral column.
