Objective
VTAIL project is presented by the sisters companies VALLET (coordinator) and CMA.
VTAIL is dedicated to the design and the manufacturing of a new fuel efficient business jet of 3meters span.
The model will be highly modular and highly instrumented with the following particularity.
- A Canard wing configuration.
- Triple nacelles engines.
- Two sets of wings, one instrumented the other modular.
- An instrumented rake nacelle.
- A motorized Empennage and Canard.
For low and high speed tests, the model might be tested in several and different wind tunnels across Europe.
VALLET and CMA are independent SME’s and knows how to customize the model for any wind tunnel operator without any conflict of interests.
The project will contribute to push forward the European aircraft industry by manufacturing and testing VTAIL very innovative business jet.
The expected increase of efficiency need to limit the environmental impact of the aircraft with regard to less fuel burn, emissions and noise.
