Objective Animal diseases can cause serious social, economic and environmental damage, impact on animal welfare and in some cases directly threaten human health. The objective of SIRCAH (Secretariat for the International Research Consortium on Animal Health) is to provide organisational, communication and technical support to the STAR-IDAZ International Research Consortium (IRC) on Animal Health and thereby accelerate the development of much needed disease control tools. The agreed aim of STAR-IDAZ IRC is to coordinate research at international level to contribute to new and approved animal health strategies for at least 30 priority diseases/infections/issues. The deliverables will include candidate vaccines, diagnostics, therapeutic, procedures and key scientific information/tools to support risk analysis and disease control. To achieve these goals SIRCAH will support the IRC in establishing and running: i) Working Groups consisting of researchers for each of the priority topics and ii) a Scientific Committee, consisting of independent experts, who will advise the IRC Executive Committee. SIRCAH will provide the Working Groups with literature reviews and support them with gap analyses and the development of research roadmaps, map current activities against research needs and make recommendations relating to programme alignment, support the Scientific Committee and Executive Committee logistically, monitor progress against delivery targets and facilitate information exchange within and between all three levels Fields of science medical and health scienceshealth sciencesinfectious diseasesmedical and health sciencesbasic medicinepharmacology and pharmacypharmaceutical drugsvaccinesmedical and health sciencesbasic medicinepharmacology and pharmacypharmaceutical drugsantibioticsagricultural sciencesanimal and dairy sciencedomestic animalsanimal husbandrymedical and health scienceshealth sciencespublic healthepidemiologyzoonosis Keywords SIRCAH Programme(s) H2020-EU.3.2. - SOCIETAL CHALLENGES - Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine, maritime and inland water research, and the bioeconomy Main Programme H2020-EU.3.2.1.1. - Increasing production efficiency and coping with climate change, while ensuring sustainability and resilience Topic(s) SFS-12-2016 - Support for international research on animal health Call for proposal H2020-SFS-2016-2017 See other projects for this call Sub call H2020-SFS-2016-1 Funding Scheme CSA - Coordination and support action Coordinator THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR ENVIRONMENT, FOOD AND RURAL AFFAIRS Net EU contribution € 1 095 625,00 Address Seacole building, 2 marsham street SW1P 4DF London United Kingdom See on map Region London Inner London — West Westminster Activity type Public bodies (excluding Research Organisations and Secondary or Higher Education Establishments) Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Website Opens in new window Participation in EU R&I programmes Opens in new window HORIZON collaboration network Opens in new window Total cost € 1 681 562,50 Participants (4) Sort alphabetically Sort by Net EU contribution Expand all Collapse all CAB INTERNATIONAL United Kingdom Net EU contribution € 1 026 312,50 Address Noseworthy way OX10 8DE Wallingford See on map Region South East (England) Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Oxfordshire Activity type Research Organisations Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Website Opens in new window Participation in EU R&I programmes Opens in new window HORIZON collaboration network Opens in new window Total cost € 1 026 312,50 ANIMALHEALTHEUROPE Belgium Net EU contribution € 220 625,00 Address Avenue de tervueren 168/8 1150 Bruxelles / brussel See on map Region Région de Bruxelles-Capitale/Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest Région de Bruxelles-Capitale/ Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest Arr. de Bruxelles-Capitale/Arr.
