The Third Ring. REMEN proposal: Local Network of Natural Spaces

Objectif

The development of a model for the application of tourism marketing services to the planning and management of the sustainable tourism to a rural area with a high environmental value.

It is a proposal of local development based on two important activity sectors, tourism and conservation. To both of them has given priority the European Community.

The present project is a theoretic and practical demonstration of the deep and existing relation between the conservation, protection and environmental recuperation issues and the development of a tourism sector just adapted to a renewed social demand.

The model comes from the idea of a local network of natural spaces (REMEN). This is articulated through two figures of different functions and objectives.

One of these are the Communal Spaces of Environmental Interest (PAMIA). There are nine spaces chosen through ecodiversity and conservation quality criteria. These spaces have two basic objectives: a) to maintain the diversity and environmental quality of the area and b) to create the 'THIRD RING NETWORK' or third tampon zone around the National Park of Donana.

The other one, The Communal Leisure Spaces (EME), has the objective of creating several leisure places, what is very demanded by our population. The project proposes eight spaces. Two of these spaces are peripheral parks at the moment.
