Obiettivo The proposed project aims to disseminate information and promote the implementation of the regulation 1836/93 to the Greek industry, to develop a concrete methodology and background material with response to prescriptions of the regulation 1836/93 and to elaborate answers to practical aspects of its implementation.To achieve its goals, the project includes a critical review of the Greek and European legislation, regulations and standards. The results of this review will be used to develop a consistent methodology and preparation of background materials for environmental auditing according to the provisions of the regulation 1836/93, and the ISO and European national standards. The methodology and the material will be tested in a pilot application. The reaction and the opinions of the Greek industry and relevant organisations will be investigated by a series of questionnaires and interviews. The results of the previous phases, will be the basic input for discussion in a workshop that is proposed to be organized in Athens. The workshop conclusions and information about the regulation 1836/93 will be futher disseminated to the Greek industry. The project is expected to promote implementation of the regulation 1936/93 in Greece in its initial phases, through both the project activities themselves and the mobility on the relevant aspects that the proposed events will create. In addition, it will facilitate and assist the relevant certifying organisations by providing them with the background material to be developed, the information to be collected and the proposals to be elaborated during the project.
