Objective The overall project is based on the study of mouse models generated with the gene targeting and the transgenic technology in order to investigate the mechanism of immune responsiveness and unresponsiveness relevant to autoimmunity.Studies on the following mouse models have been carried out:1) Lysozyme transgenic mice.2) TcR (anti-IgG2a{b}) transgenic mice.3) beta2-microglobulin gene deficient mice.4) A CD3-epsilon gene deficient mice.5) Cell type specific Cre recombinase gene transgenic mice; cytokine receptor gene mutants carrying 'floxed gene' for conditional knock out mice.1) Tg mouse model of controlled autoimmune disease2) Tg mouse model of class II restricted self antigen (Ig) presentation3) A mouse model of Th1/Th2 polarization4) A CD3 mutated mouse model for thymic selection5) New cre-recombinase Tg mouse lines useful for the application of somatic gene alteration.
