Obiettivo There is a general consensus that gas flow monitoring is one of the keys to high PCI (Powdered Coal Injection) rates. Since gas distribution is the result of numerous phenomena with complex interactions, the best approach appears to be its simulation by mathematical modelling.In order to attain even greater PCI rates, the project is aimed at developing a mathematical model of the gas flow in the blast furnace based on experimental and theoretical studies of the raceway and the dead man, taking into account the distribution and consumption of unburnt particles of coal.
