Advance and integrated biomass gasification with hot and catalytic flue gas cleaning for electricity production and other end products

Objectif



The idea of the research lies in the use of biomass (waste of forest, wood-working industry, agriculture) as substitute for part of power-generating fuel for steam boilers, production of purified producer gas and generation of charcoal.
The Proposed complex of equipment includes cyclone primary furnace for burning wood waste with a duty burner for gas or liquid fuel, gas generator, drier with a centrifugal fluid bed of grainy particles and a cleaner with swirling bubbling layer.
As a result of the operation of the proposed scheme a part of power-generating fuel of boiler is saved at the expense of burning local fuel of little value, for transportation of which is difficult. Valuable products - charcoal and producer gas that can be used as motor fuel are obtained, decomposition of wood waste fouling natural water and blocking up the territory is prevented.
The advantages of the proposed vortex apparatus for drying, burning and cleaning are as follows: high velocities of flowing ParticIes, regularity and homogeneity of heterogeneous structures, large surfaces of interaction of phases.
This permits the apparatus to be made compact and effective. The results of the execution of the project are as follows: 1) production of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, burning and drying laws in rotating heterogeneous structures (gas-solid particles, gas-burning solid particles, Iiquid - gas bubbles in the field of centrifugal forces; 2) operating models of separate units using centrifugal fluid and bubbling beds; 3) conceptual design of the plant as a whoIe.
Proposed project has 4 stages, icluding calculation, development of the conceptual design, manufacturing, the experimental and numerical investigation of the operating models of the following objects: the vortex drier (02.01.95-31.12.95); the apparatus with the swirling bubbling layer (02.01.96-31.12.96); the cyclone primary furnace (02.01.97-31.12.97); the gas generator (02.01.98-31.12.98).
