Obiettivo The study relates to the end of a 16 mm sheet shearing line, and more particularly to the workplace where wooden blocks are placed to separate the packs underneath a suction-grip piler.The aim is complete automatization (robots, measuring and position control sensors, remote surveillance) of the following operations:- supply of wooden blocks,- longitudinal cutting of wooden blocks as a function of the programs,- placing of wooden blocks underneath the pilerThe wooden blocks currently needed to enable packs to be removed and picked up by the travelling crane are placed between the packs by operatives.This task involves major drawbacks from the point of view of working conditions and safety.Following a description of the installation concerned and its mode of operation, we examined the functions of the workplace and the consequences from the point of view of safety and working conditions.
