Obiettivo Water quality management procedures need to be researched and implemented if the problems of groundwater quality in the acquifers of the West of Ireland are to be dealt with.This project involves production of aquifer protection plans/groundwater quality vulnerability assessments for three countries, investigation of the usefulness of GIS technology in this regard, provide methods to prioritise vulnerability of groundwater sources, determine best means of delimiting well head protection areas.
