Objective Without proper control, the potential energy savings and increased productivity when producing steel in an EAF with foaming slag may not be achieved. The objective of this project is to develop a detection system based on radio wave technology to control the foam height in AC and DC furnaces. The aim is to integrate the foam height detection and measuring system with a dynamic control system for the furnace.
