Objectif Demonstration and monitoring of the TACKE megawatt-wind turbine in Dunkerque, France, site Pont-Loby. Dissemination in order to change the present wind turbine market situation in France.Turbine in Dunkerque to be erected in November 1996, no results of this turbine yet; however one prototype named TW1,5 operating in Emden, Germany, shows very smooth power output, no operating problems.1. Innovative Technology :1500 kW wind turbine with variable speed operation, full-span single-blade pitch control and low noise features as very low rotational speed, rotor made out of carbon fibres.2. Context of the Project :Installation in France, where a market for megawatt turbines could be created for french utility Electricite de France (EDF), fair wind characteristics, blades made in France.3. Economic Aspects :Cost efficient wind turbine for its size, cost efficient carbon rotor.4. Monitoring :Extensive monitoring of the total machine, dynamic stall characteristics of the machine.
