Process Industries Manufacturing Advantage through IT - PR: Regional Dissemination

Objectif

The PRIMA project (EP-8234) aims at using a network of Process Industries companies in Europe (EC countries and EFTA) to establish the medium and long term requirements for IT (including standards) of the many industries using continuous or batch processes for manufacturing or for the provision of services. The relevant project will establish a dialogue between these Process Sectors and the IT vendors and ESPRIT project. Its output will be an "IT Vision" describing how identified key business requirements for the future can be translated into future projects.
This project - PRIMA PR - is intended to provide the necessary public relations, promotional and associated support to ensure that the results of PRIMA are fully disseminated and that the results are taken up and used for benefit and utilisation within those areas of the Community which are designated for Regional Development and improvement of industrial infrastructure and performance.

The principal aims of PRIMA PR are:
Dissemination - to provide a focused activity to ensure that results and information generated in the PRIMA network are well disseminated throughout the European Process Industries, with particular emphasis placed on those regions targeted for Regional Development, in order to aid their take-up of relevant improvements and benefits arising. (Targeted events in Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain).
Promotion - Ensure that the services available within the PRIMA network are well publicised so that European Process Manufacturers may access and take advantage of the support available (benchmark assessment, database information).
Network Growth - Create the necessary awareness and provide the justification necessary to encourage the growth of the PRIMA network. The objective is to encourage expansion and sustainability beyond the end of the collaborative work.
