Common Methodology for Multimodal Transport Environmental Impact Assessment

Objetivo

1. To define a methodology for strategic assessment of the environmental impacts of transport policy options, to support transport policy decision making at the European level.
2. To develop computer software that embodies the main aspects of the methodology and can present the results to users.
3. To demonstrate the use of the main aspects of the methodology and the computer software.

1. To define the user requirements for the methodology at an early stage, in consultation with others projects working
on strategic Transport Research tasks.
2. To conduct a review of possible methodologies and models based on previous work.
3. To define an outline methodology and data structure, taking account of user needs and likely data availability (in
cooperation with the MEET project).

5. To define the user requirements for the software and to specify the software.
6. To write, test and finalise the software.
7. To define the demonstration of usefulness, taking account of input from other Strategic Transport Research tasks.

9. To plan for further development and exploitation of the results.
