Cel This project will create a basis for the scholarly treatment of the cultural ties between the Russian and Habsburg Empires during the Holy Alliance (1815-1848). The project will investigate cultural and intellectual exchanges through a study of scholarly journals and other periodicals from St. Petersburg. The NIS participant will organise the findings according to the scheme used in 'Russland in den Wiener Zeitschriften und Almanachen des Vormärz' (Russia in Viennese Vormärz Periodicals and Almanacs), a study undertaken by the scientific official responsible for the project. The associated contractor will evaluate the results of both studies and promote new insights and research topics.
