Objective
The aim of the project is to develop efficient methods of automated deduction with aim of applications for formal program development.
Our project brings together the main teams of NIS working on automatic deduction and its application to the development of correct programs. Together with the teams of the INTAS member states they cover the following subject: general proof theory and proof search theory, methods of automatic theorem proving in first order logic (resolution, the inverse method and other sequent-based methods), automation of induction, use of proof plans and lemmatization in automated deduction, program extraction from proofs, and proof of programs. All the teams have successfully implemented systems resulting from their theoretical research, which are, to a great extent, complementary.
The project will support the work of leading Russian and Ukrainian centers in automated deduction and related fields of mathematical logic and computer science for two years. Approximately half of the funds will be spent to support visits of the scientists from NIS. The results of the project will be published in the form of technical reports, conference papers of major international conferences and scientific articles in international journals. It is also intended to develop several public domain systems for automated deduction, program synthesis and program development.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
