European network for fuzzy logic and uncertainty modelling in information technology

Objective

The overall long term objectives of ERUDIT are:

- facilitate interactions between European scientists and practitioners interested in soft computing, with a particular emphasis on uncertainty modeling and fuzzy technology.
- to stimulate innovation.
- to encourage trans-European training activities in this field.
- to co-ordinate future research and applications in this domain.
- to promote technology transfer from universities to industry and help to transfer best practice
- to promote technological development and take-up in new application areas.
- to promote the growth of this technology into new technological directions.

To achieve these goals, the Network plans to:

- increase industrial awareness about potential applications of uncertainty modeling and fuzzy technology.
- identify new research areas
- identify industrial applications and generate case studies in different sectors of the economy.
- initiate actions to increase the skills of potential users
- support European technology transfer actions
- build a European Research Community in fuzzy technology and uncertainty modeling.

ERUDIT is an open Network of Excellence for fuzzy technology and uncertainty modeling. The network's goal is to help Europe secure a leadership position in this promising area at the leading edge of international competitiveness in this area of Information Technology.
