Objective The objective of this project is to develop and test a vocational training programme in magnetotelluric and electrotelluric [MT/ET] geophysical methods for practising geo-scientists and geo-engineers, local authority employees and students. The project will provide professionals and students with new tools and updated knowledge for sub-surface geo-science and earthquake prediction studies, and better prepare them for the future demands of the job market in this specialised field.Partners will : exchange information, expertise and experience; develop methods and design the training programme; and contribute to the upgrading of instruments used during geophysical surveys. Further phases will focus on MT/ET training in the field and instrument training, project evaluation and final training programme testing.ImpactThrough the transfer of technology and expertise in MT/ET applications, the project will lead to the development of improved tools for addressing fracture and site characterisation for hazardous waste products, research in earthquake prediction, energy resources and other geo-scientific work.Contract number : EL/97/2/00981/PI/II.1.1.c/FPCDomaine : Continuing vocational trainingContents : Technological transfer Vocational qualifications Training in environmental protectionProducts : Training programmes/ curriculum Short training courses Group training with tutor Public : Workers in companies Young workers Students Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Topic(s) II.1.1.c - Transfer of technological innovation in the context of cooperation between undertakings and universities Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinator SOLID EARTH PHYSICS INSTITUTE - SEPI EU contribution No data Address PANEPISTIMIOUPOLI - ZOGRAFOS 157 84 Athens Greece See on map Total cost No data Participants (3) Sort alphabetically Sort by EU Contribution Expand all Collapse all DEMKA Greece EU contribution No data Address Terma de l'avenue Irinis 38446 Nea Ionia See on map Total cost No data Dansk Elektronik Design Denmark EU contribution No data Address Multebaervej 30 8471 Sabro See on map Total cost No data Seismological Dept.
